Music Classes for Toddlers Set for 1/29-3/19 at the Jewish MuseumDecember 27, 2012Beginning January 29, The Jewish Museum will present Music Off the Wall, a new music and art series for toddlers on eight Tuesdays from 9:45 to 10:30 am. Led by musician and museum educator Mark Dzula, leader of the innovative and one-of-a-kind kid's band Jukebox Radio, this series offers a hip and playful blend of looking at art through a musical lens. Toddlers and their adult companions can discover fun ways to explore the Museum's galleries together through song, movement and hands-on activities. This series is designed for children ages 2 to 3.
CoHo Productions Premieres INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Opening 1/25December 27, 2012Write down everything and something is bound to be funny. Or at least that's standup comedian Tim's philosophy in International Falls by Thomas Ward. CoHo Productions, as part of the Fertile Ground Festival, will produce the World Premiere. A pay-what-you-will preview performance will be held on January 24th, with opening night on January 25th. The hilarious new show will run Thursday through Sunday through February 16th. Tickets start at $20 with discounts available for students, educators and seniors. Those with a valid International Falls, MN driver's license will receive free admission (pending availability).
HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER Adds Holiday Performances This WeekendDecember 27, 2012Off-Broadway's newest hit comedy HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is playing a special holiday schedule this weekend with three added performances. Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER opened on October 17th to rave reviews at Sofia's Downstairs Theater in the heart of Times Square. This week's special holiday performance schedule will be tonight and Friday at 7:30 PM, with two shows on both Saturday and Sunday at 2 & 7:30 PM. Pre-show lunch or dinner is served beginning 30 minutes before each performance at Sofia's Downstairs Theater, 221 West 46 Street (between Broadway & Eighth Ave.)
Peterborough Players Screen LES TROYENS, 1/5December 26, 2012The Metropolitan Opera offers a rare opportunity to witness Hector Berlioz's vast epic opera, last performed at the Met in 2003. Les Troyens will be simulcast live on the Peterborough Players big screen on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at noon. This is the 7th production in The Met: Live in HD's 2012-13 season. Tickets are $25 for adults and
$20 for students.
Whose Barn Is It Anyway? Comes to Theater Barn, 1/4December 26, 2012Start the year with laughs! The Role in the Hay Players are back for their popular comedy night, Whose Barn Is It Anyway, at the Ridgefield Theater Barn, Friday, January 4th, at 8pm. All proceeds will benefit the Sandy Hook School Fund. Featuring Cheryl Boyd, Pamme Jones, Wayne Leiss, Melissa Power, Mary Shuldman, and Rick Hodder, the group's director and coach, the players are returning to provide an evening of original comedy and hilarious skits.

Jack Herholdt Brings FALLING IN LOVE… to the Duplex, 1/13 & 20December 26, 2012Jack Herholdt, who was previously seen by audiences uptown in a sold-out engagement, will bring his one man show Falling in Love…and other Ridiculous Ideas to The Duplex in January. Written by Herholdt, the earnest and hilarious journey will be directed by Matt Keel and feature musical direction by William TN Hall. The show will play two dates on January 13th at 7:00pm and January 20th at 9:30pm.
THE MOUSETRAP Opens Jan. 4 at Vagabond PlayersDecember 26, 2012The Vagabond Players begins the New Year with a fearsome rendition of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, opening January 4 and running through February 3. Directed by Eric C. Stein, the world's longest running show, 60 years, comes to America's Oldest Continuous Little Theatre in its 97th season.

For the third year in a row, the performers were accompanied by John Hart on guitar, Carmen Intorre on drums and Paul Gill on bass, along with special guest jazz violinist/comedian Aaron Weinstein.
