The OUT LIKE THAT! Festival at BAAD! - The Bronx Academy of Art & Dance kicks off on Thursday, June 7 and continues to Tuesday, June 28, 2012 with its line-up of dance, theatre, film, and performances. Closing the festival will be Michael Lynch's one person LIVING ON THE REAL, on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 8pm. The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) will unveil six new sculptures-on-loan at the award-winning E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park on June 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Artists will be on hand to answer questions about their pieces during a walking tour after the ceremony. The sculptures will remain in the park through May of 2013. The park is located at 11801 Community Center Drive; one-half mile south of 120th Avenue and Grant St. in Northglenn.

Previews begin tonight (June 4th) at 7 pm for the LCT3 production of Slowgirl, a new play by Greg Pierce, directed by Anne Kauffman and featuring Željko Ivanek and Sarah Steele. This world premiere is the first production to be presented by LCT3 in its new home, The Claire Tow Theater, on the roof of Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Slowgirl will run for six weeks only through Sunday, July 15. All tickets are $20. Opening night is Monday, June 18 at 7pm.

The North Carolina Symphony welcomes all princesses and heroes, witches and wizards, fairy tale champions and fable-inspired villains to Cary's Booth Amphitheatre for "Fables for Families." This fun and festive concert, led by Resident Conductor William Henry Curry and featuring North Carolina storyteller Heather Patterson King, takes place on Saturday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. Children 12 and under are admitted free for lawn seating.

The Bob Fitzsimmons Memorial Scholarship, this year, is being awarded to Albert Stanaj, a 2012 graduate of Archbishop Stepinac High School. He has been demonstrating an interest in theatre since the age of 9. Albert would come to Stepinac with his parents to pick up his older brother who was in rehearsal for SOUTH PACIFIC. Besides running around the theatre chasing other cast members' little sisters, Albert became a student of the theatre at that time.

August Strindberg Repertory will move its all black cast production of Strindberg's 'Playing With Fire' to the Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, from June 15 to June 30, raising it to an Off-Broadway contract.

The Maxwell C. King Center for Performing Arts, Inc., of Brevard Community College is celebrating its 25th year. It was in April 1988 when the theatre first opened its doors to the sound of 'Singing In The Rain." The celebration begins with a 25th Anniversary ticket raffle.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre's artistic director Eric Rosen has selected the creative team for his staging of the Rep's 2012-13 season opener Pippin, a musical by Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics) and Roger O. Hirson (book). Pippin will run September 14 - October 7, 2012 at Spencer Theatre in Kansas City, MO.

Beck Center for the Arts has announced it is the next recipient of a Dworken & Bernstein Co., L.P.A. Cy Pres Award.
