This week, BWW talks with Tai Wei Foo, who in addition to starring in the production, is also responsible for choreographing the beautiful dances from the show. BWW sat down with Henri Chasse, who steps into the role of Pierre LaMontagne (previously played by Lepage) to discuss the challenges of performing in three different languages, and the reasons why theatre is still culturally relevant.

This weekend the National Tour of American Idiot had a very Canadian feel as the three main 'Idiots' were played by three Canadian boys when Gabriel Antonacci stepped into the role of Johnny (usually played by Van Hughes). BWW was thrilled to go back to the show in order to see three hometown boys rock out together.

Living with Henry was a hit at last year's Toronto Fringe Festival, and is back on stage with the Next Stage Theatre Festival. Featuring some of Canada's best and brightest musical theatre performers, the show is a semi-autobiographical look at life with HIV/AIDS. The lead character is played by Ryan Kelly who was most recently seen in Studio 180's critically acclaimed production of The Normal Heart. He took a few minutes to talk with BWW about the show, and about his tendency to gravitate towards roles that deal with death, disease and the human spirit.
