BWW had the chance to talk with Brooke about what the show means to her.

BWW had the chance to talk with Lindsay Anne Black who worked on the set design for the show, and got an inside look at just how authentic the story really is.

The Toronto production of the smash-hit Jersey Boys has two new reasons to celebrate, the show recently announced yet another extenstion (tickets are now on sale through to June 30th, 2010) and also, Quinn VanAntwerp (who plays Bob Gaudio in the production) was named to the National Post's list of Worthy 30 Men.

A smash hit last year in Toronto, Blind Date is back as part of Harbourfront's WorldStage performance season, and BWW got the chance to talk to Rebecca about this unique experience.

Gabi Epstein is another up-and-comer on the Toronto theatre scene performing a Cabaret night this month, and hers is going to focus on music from the late nineties. Entitled Gabi's Chill Mix, the Cabaret-style evening will take place on February 20th at 10PM and feature songs from Hawksley Workman, Pearl Jam, Lisa Loeb and more.

Lindsay Thomas, Stratford veteran and 'Francine' in the Original Canadian Cast of Jersey Boys, passed away Wednesday February 3rd after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She left behind a great legacy of wonderful theatre performances and friendships, as has become evident in the outpouring of support shown over the last few days.

It has been confirmed that Miss Saigon will return to Toronto this summer as the second show in Dancap Production's inaugural Summer Broadway Series line-up at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. The show will play a limited engagement from July 9th to August 1st, 2010.

Once And For All We're Gonna Tell You Who We Are So Shut Up and Listen. Yes, it is a very long title. However, it's extremely appropriate. The newest show to come to Harbourfront Centre as part of the very popular World Stage line-up is a moving piece of physical theatre from Belgium's performance group Ontroerend Goed. The piece is comprised of thirteen teenagers who struggle with various issues of youth and adolescent rebellion, and so in a way, the long and convoluted title is well suited to a chaotic show that tells the story of a very turbulent time in everyone's life.

The National Tour of the Tony Award Winning smash hit South Pacific is coming to Toronto in August as part of Dancap Production's inaugural Summer Broadway Series, and casting was recently announced for this much anticipated show.

Hockey Day in Canada is this Saturday, January 30th and in preparation for the big event, members of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival are squaring off in a hockey game on Friday January 29th. Great chance to come out and enjoy some hockey as well as unique theatre events, including trying on some of the famous costumes used at the Festival.

RENT: The Broadway Tour held a special auction at the end of the 8PM show last night in Toronto with proceeds going to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Actor's Fund of Canada. It was a packed house and a generous crowd, and BWW was on hand to watch it unfold.
