New York's WaxFactory has announced that its 2010 lineup will include BLIND.NESS, QUARTET v4.0, and DELIRIUM 27. BLIND.NESS features an all-female cast and will begin the season in January, running the 6th through 12th. QUARTET v4.0 will follow, running February 24th through 28th. DELIRIUM 27 will run March 24th through 28th. Each of the performances will take place at Abrons Art Center.

'Idol' is down to 10. Tonight was by far one of the most important nights of 'Idol;' those who make it through tonight earn a spot on the summer tour and (presumably) the opportunity to sell a ton of records. On such an important night, there as at least one surprise, with the bottom three consisting of Paige Miles, Tim Urban, and, shockingly, Katie Stevens. Stevens wasn't bad last night, and it's a bit of a surprise to see her among this group.

'American Idol' featured the teen sensation Miley Cryus as the contestant's coach on their songs for this week. Cyrus was surprisingly helpful in her comments to the top 11 and it was clear she had done her homework, knowing each person's strengths and weaknesses. Several singers gave strong performances this week, while the weaker contestants missed the mark again. The theme was back to number one Billboard hits and, even though it seems like it should be easy to make a good song choice out of the thousands of possibilities, it was still a struggle for many of the singers.

Broadway star Bryan Batt has spent the last several years as Salvatore Romano on the hit television show 'Mad Men,' which surrounds an ad agency, Sterling Cooper, in the 1960s. Batt's character was recently fired from the agency and he recently spoke with the Huffington Post about his character and the show in general.

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park announced its 2010-2011 Season today. The season boasts two world premieres and four regional premieres, including a Broadway-bound production of Matthew Lombardo's HIGH starring Broadway veteran Kathleen Turner.

The Plano Children's Theatre has announced their full schedule of free events and performances for a week of 'World Theatre Day,' from March 22nd to March 27th. The events will include a number of instructional workshops, as well as performances.

The NewFilmmakers society will premiere the film 'The Truth About Angels' in a showing on March 24th. The film is directed by Lichelli Lazar-Lea.

Jobsite Theater, resident theater company of Tampa's Straz Center (was Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center) is touring their award-winning Pericles: Prince of Tires in a showcase format to New York's HERE. Pericles: Prince of Tires is a comic rock mob musical based on William Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre. Joe Popp (dogs on ice, The Hornrims; MAXWELL) has paired his power-punk music and oddball sense of humor with the estimable talents of perennial Jobsite wordsmiths Neil Gobioff & Shawn Paonessa (The Curse of Milhaven, The March of the Kitefliers) to create an ass-kicking good time. Pericles runs for a limited engagement April 15-17, 2010, at HERE.

New Edgecliff Theatre closes its 2009-2010 season with Cyrano [rehearsed], a new adaptation of Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac - a unique twist on the well-known tale by outgoing Artistic Director Greg Procaccino. The audience arrives to find the cast immersed in rehearsal for the musical version of Reservoir Dogs, only to see it transmogrify from gunplay to swordplay, and from contemporary songs of violence to classic words of romance.
