Guest Blogger: Ted Clement

Ted Clement is Artistic Director of Counter-Productions Theatre Company, a resident company at AS220 in Providence, Rhode Island. He serves as Region 1 Co-Vice Chair for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. He is an Associate Professor in the Performing Arts Department at the Community College of Rhode Island, where he serves as Coordinator of the Theatre Program.

Ted holds an Associate of Arts from CCRI, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Salem State University, and a Master of Fine Arts from the New School for Drama.

Ted received a 2014 Motif Theatre Award for Best Direction of a College Play for The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot at CCRI and Best Stage Design of a Semi-Professional play for Picasso at the Lapin Agile with Counter-Productions. He also received 2015 Broadway World Awards for Best Direction and Best Stage Design of a Semi-Professional Play forTopdog/Underdog and Best Supporting Actor in a Semi-Professional Play as George, Duke of Clarence in Richard III with Counter-Productions.
