Charlotte Movizzo is eighteen years old and won the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ Bobby G Award for Outstanding Leading Actress. She recently graduated from Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado. Some of Charlotte’s previous high school roles include Toby in “Sweeney Todd”, Abigail Williams in “The Crucible”, Miss Minchin in “A Little Princess”, Lady Bracknell in “The Importance of Being Earnest”, Charity in “Sweet Charity”, and Olivia in “Twelfth Night”. In the past two years, Charlotte has had the opportunity to sing with both the Colorado All State Mixed Choir, and the All State Women’s Choir. Charlotte was also one of eight females selected in the state to sing with the 2016 Colorado All State Jazz Mixed Choir at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. This year at the Colorado Thespian Convention, Charlotte was selected to receive the 2015 female scholarship, after which she performed at closing ceremonies at the Bellco Theatre in Denver.

This final video of the series chronicling Colorado's 2016 Bobby G Awards winners Charlotte Movizzo and Curtis Salinger takes them to New York, where they had a week-long intensive training immersion with coaching from Broadway stars Karen Olivo and Jose Llana, culminating with their performance on a Broadway stage at the Jimmy Awards, where they both won special-recognition scholarships. Both described the overall experience as life-changing. 'It was the most incredible week of my life,' said Movizzo. Added Salinger: 'We're ending this week with lifelong friends. It's priceless.'

How has my life changed since the night of the Bobby G Awards ceremony? I have had some incredible opportunities. I was invited to sing to perform before the DCPA board, and at the Randy Weeks Memorial Golf Tournament, which raised more than $91,000 for the advancement of musical theatre for Colorado high-school students. Both events showed me what incredible people there are supporting the program, and high-school theatre. Otherwise, I have been very busy practicing and preparing music for New York.
