THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION (BDF) returned to Atlanta, Georgia Monday, June 1 through Saturday, June 6, 2009 to host their fourth annual BDF Summer Performing Arts Intensive program. The goal of the non-profit organization is to bring young talent closer to their Broadway dreams, regardless of their financial status, through an intensive week-long Broadway training program lead by some of Broadway's brightest stars.

The entire cast and all-star band of HAIR, the Tony-Award Winning Best Musical Revival, performed live on the 'Good Morning America' Summer Concert Series segment on Friday, June 26th, in Central Park.

La Jolla Playhouse presents the world premiere of Restoration, written by and starring award-winning playwright/actress Claudia Shear (Dirty Blonde, Blown Sideways Through Life), directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley. Commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse, Restoration runs in the Mandell Weiss Forum June 23 - July 19th. The official opening is tonight, Sunday, June 28th at 7:00 pm.

TRACY LETTS' AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, winner of five 2008 Tony Awards, as well as the 2008 Pulitzer Prize, and currently starring Tony and Emmy award winner PHYLICIA RASHAD, will play its final performance on SUNDAY, JUNE 28th, 2009. The New York Times reports that Morton Gottlieb, a Broadway producer who guided to the stage four plays that were nominated for Best-Play Tony Awards, died Thursday in Englewood, N.J. He was 88 years old.

PEOPLE is reporting that Katie Holmes will put on her dancing shoes for So You Think You Can Dance this season. The show's producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed the news to PEOPLE saying, 'It's about a charity, I do not have the status.' Lythgoe is rumored to be directing Holmes in choreography by Tyce Diorio.
