Having enjoyed another successful year with their world premiere stage adaptation of Exam and presenting the UK Premiere of Peter Michael Marino's 'Desperately Seeking the Exit' (which has opened to rave reviews around the globe) Vertigo Theatre Productions are starting off 2013 with a new production of their 2009 thriller 'M' opening at the Three Minute Theatre on January 22.

Written by Neil Ely and directed by Lloyd Eyre-Morgan, and set in the early 1980s, the play focuses on free-spirited Amber, from Manchester living in Eastbourne, working as a waitress for the summer season. On a night out she stumbles back to local lad Sean's house; that night they sleep together and their lives change forever.

With this new UK production (which is not so much new as a slightly altered version of the US tour with the same set) they had the chance to sort out the problems that plagued a show that is dying to break out, sadly the problems are more noticeable than ever.

After scoring rave reviews in September with their world premiere stage adaptation of EXAM (which has had interest from major New York producers) the team are bringing back one of their biggest original hits 'M', a trashy thriller that pays homage to films such as Cruel Intentions and Wild Things as well as tipping its hat to stage thrillers of the 1940s and 50s. The off shoot company is owned by Vertigo but run by 2 of the Vertigo founders Craig Hepworth and Karl Burge as well as Richard Allen and Stuart Reeve and will premiere their debut play this coming September at the Three Minute Theatre. The first play is the UK Premiere stage version of 'EXAM' a psychological thriller based on the British film by Stuart Hazeldine.
