Full casting has been announced for the upcoming national tour of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams. The Tale of the Allergist's Wife is a comedic exploration of the Upper West side life of Marjorie Taub - middle-aged and middle-class - her loving husband, Ira, and her daily routines at Zabar's and the 92nd Street 'Y.' Marjorie's mother lives down the hall obsessing constantly about her digestive tract; her beloved therapist has just died; and she loses it in a Disney store. Unexpectedly invading her depression is her flamboyant childhood friend Lee who becomes entrenched in the Taub household as a seemingly permanent guest, not only drawing Marjorie out of her dark mood, but affecting her marriage as well.

The Alliance Theatre Lab is proud to close its 2011 Season with Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed Lobby Hero. This Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Play nominee tells the story of Jeff, a luckless young security guard trying to get his life together after being thrown out of the navy. But the lobby proves to be no sanctuary from the world as Jeff is drawn into a local murder investigation involving his supervisor, a tightly wound young man called upon to bear witness against his troubled brother, and an overzealous rookie policewoman who is in over her head when her unscrupulous hero-cop partner catches his eye.

Between October 10 and December 2, any Palm Beach County public or private high school student can submit one original poem (30 lines maximum) for consideration. The winning poet will receive $100 and a pair of tickets to the eighth annual Palm Beach Poetry Festival, which will be held next January 17-21 at Old School Square in Delray Beach.

Playwright Jason Odell Williams will be in residence at the Playhouse throughout the rehearsal and performance process.
