Shake, Rattle & Roll is a tribute to the birth of rock music and the legacy of Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, and more. These artists introduced the world to Rock 'n' Roll, with a west-Texas country sound, sweet harmonies of Kentucky bluegrass, and the electrifying rhythm and blues of Memphis. Dick Clark once said "Elvis was the King of Rock 'n' Roll, but Buddy Holly was the undisputed father of rock music."

Ken Ludwig is an internationally acclaimed playwright whose many hits on Broadway, in London's West End and throughout the world have made his name synonymous with modern comedy. He has had six shows on Broadway and six in the West End, and he has won the Laurence Olivier Award, England's highest theatre honor, as well as three Tony Award nominations and two Helen Hayes Awards. His work has been commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company and has been performed in thirty countries in over twenty languages. Ken Ludwig is also the author of the popular Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo.

Florida Repertory Theatre announced that its popular Lunchbox Theatre Series continues in February with a make-believe adventure about the power of using your imagination. Perfect for kids of all ages, The Imaginators plays Feb. 17 and 18 at 11am in the Arcade Theatre, and the $12 admission price includes the performance, lunch and an interactive post-show workshop.

"Our 2012 season is comprised of three world premieres: one by David Michael Sirois and two by Mark Della Ventura. We wanted to put together an evening of short plays written by these two amazing playwrights to show our audience a sample of the exciting things happening this season," says Producing Artistic Director Adalberto J. Caldwell Theatre Company is set to launch the revamped, updated, and contemporized musical Working, featuring the music of Tony winners, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell),Lin Manuel Miranda (In the Heights) and Grammy winner James Taylor. The original source material for this unabashedly American musical is based on the novel Working by Studs Terkel.

Bob Lappin & The Palm Beach Pops will "Strike Up the Band" and pay tribute to the "Fascinating Rhythm" of the amazing duo whose compositions bridged the worlds of Tin Pan Alley, Broadway, Hollywood and symphony halls around the globe. Returning to the Royal Room for the sixth time since 2002, KT Sullivan recently appeared at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC with Brian Stokes Mitchell in Broadway Today, at the Humanities Festival in Chicago with Dave Frishberg and at Carnegie's Zankel Hall with Michael Feinstein. She is an annual headliner at the Oak Room of New York's Algonquin Hotel and has headlined at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center, and The Caramoor Festival. She has performed internationally at The Spoleto Festival, The Nouvelle Eve in Paris, The Chichester Festival in England and the Adelaide Festival in Australia.

"Dead Man's Cell Phone" is by Sarah Ruhl, one of the hottest young playwrights on today's American theater scene. She was the recipient of a MacArthur "Genius" Award, as well as a Pulitzer Prize finalist. "Cell Phone" was a hit Off-Broadway with Mary Louise Parker ("Weeds") and was one of the top five most produced plays in 2011 in regional theaters across the country. The Waterfront now brings this wonderfully vibrant piece to the Keys community. The New York Times called it "A beguiling comedy with surprising twists and turns."

THE PIANO LESSON, was August Wilson's second Pulitzer Prize winning work. Directed by Robert D. Nation, THE PIANO LESSON will be presented at Andrews Living Arts, 23 NW 5TH St. Fort Lauderdale, 33301, Feb. 17 & 18 at 8:00 PM and Feb. & 19 at 3 PM. This production will feature some of the finest actors in the South Florida area.

This world famous musical group is made up of two groups of brothers: Nicolas and Andre Reyes, the sons of renowned flamenco artist Jose Reyes, and their cousins, Jacques, Maurice and Tonino Baliardo. They are the offspring of Spanish gypsy families that fled to France in the 1930s to escape Spain's Civil War. In 1987, The Gipsy Kings released their debut album which introduced the world to "rumba Gitano" - the sound of South American rhythm married to flamenco guitars. The Gipsy Kings have had a series of international hits, starting with the song "Bamboleo," but at heart they remain gypsies, the proud descendants of an ancient people who seduced the world with music and dance.

Born and raised in Brazil, Paulo Szot made his opera debut 1997 and has appeared with many major opera companies throughout the world before starring in the Broadway revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center Theatre, earning him the Tony Award, the Drama Desk, the Outer Critic's Circle and the Theater World Awards for his portrayal of Emile De Beque. In the 2008-2009 season Mr. Szot made his New York Philharmonic debut in a concert conducted by Marvin Hamlisch appearing alongside Liza Minnelli. After making his highly acclaimed Metropolitan Opera debut, he also made his Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Pops Orchestra. Mr. Szot has performed in the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center as part of the American Songbook Series and, in 2010 and 2011, at the Cafe Carlyle in New York.

A Measure of Cruelty (April 19-May 13) is inspired by actual events of 2009 where a 15 year old boy was doused with rubbing alcohol and set on fire by four teenagers, a tragic event that impacted South Florida's local community and touched a nerve in our nation's conscience.

Florida Repertory Theatre announced the opening of Tru in the Florida Rep Studio Theatre, a devastatingly funny glimpse into the mind of America's icon, Truman Capote. Playing Feb. 22-Mar 17, Tru is a fascinating one-man tour-de-force starring Florida Rep favorite, Mark Chambers, as the controversial author of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and 'In Cold Blood.'
