Caldwell Theatre Company has put the finishing touches on its 2010-2011 Season. Legendary Swiss performance troupe Mummenschanz is coming to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center in Sarasota, FL for a performance at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3rd. The performance is part of the troupe's first U.S. tour since 2003. Tickets are $35-55 and the theatre is located at 777 N. Tamiami Trail. These exclusive, Alden Theatre performances will be Mummenschanz's only performance in the Florida region during this tour.

The Waterfront Playhouse announces auditions for 'The New Century' by Paul Rudnick, which is part of their 2010/11 season. The auditions will be held on Thursday, October 14, 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Waterfront Playhouse. Director Rich Simone will be looking for five experienced comedic actors between the ages of 20 to 60. The play requires actors who are comfortable with the verbal demands of the script, as well as fitting the specific types of the characters. All of the roles are open and all are paid.

'To bring the meaning and message of CABARET to life, particularly to younger audiences, we are inviting local Holocaust survivors to attend matinee performances of the show on October 16, 17 and 23, and then participate in a post-show feedback session with members of the audience and cast,' says producer Vicki Halmos. Legendary impressionist, Christopher Peterson brings his stage extravaganza 'EYECONS, Las Vegas or Bust' to the Waterfront Playhouse for three nights only, playing October 23, 24 and 25 at 8 pm. This official Fantasy Fest event will mark Christopher's final Key West appearances before relocating to Las Vegas. His all-live, no lip-sync show features hilarious parodies of all the great female stars, plus four dancers, over-the-top costumes and Vegas-style sets. The Waterfront, as one of Fantasy Fest's premier sponsors, is thrilled that Christopher chose the Playhouse as the venue for his Key West performing swan song.

Barry Ingham has appeared on both the West End and Broadway starring in such classics as The Magistrate and Tartuffe and original productions of Aspects of Love and Jekyll & Hyde. As a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Mr. Ingham appeared in several productions including Julius Caesar, Twelfth Night, and Winter's Tale. He was professor at the University of Texas at Austin, theatre consultant to Baylor University and is artistic advisor to the Shakespeare Society of New York.
