For the second year in a row, Miami's own Mad Cat Theatre Company will be returning to the South Beach Comedy Festival. This time the troupe is back with a dangerous cast of characters in The Preservation Society, a world premiere comedy, written and directed by Mad Cat's founder, Paul Tei.

Cirque Dreams and N4D have joined forces to develop the first-ever live touring theatrical production appearing in 3D titled 'Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy 3D'. Neil Goldberg, critically acclaimed founder, producer/director of Cirque Dreams and Clif Parker, CEO of N4D announced today they will combine Goldberg's Broadway hit production of 'Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy' with N4D's creative 3D science and ingenuity. The tandem, will bring the never-before-seen spectacular to the stage which is currently in development to be available for touring in 2013.

The Waterfront Playhouse presents David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning play 'Glengarry Glen Ross,' considered to be one of the theater's masterworks of the late 20th Century. The New York Times calls the play 'ferocious comedy and drama, crackling with tension.' Directed by George Gugleotti and featuring an ensemble of powerhouse actors, 'Glengarry' runs January 27 to February 12. The production is sponsored by AT&T, The Real Yellow Pages, with the opening night party sponsored by Sandra and Lee McMannis. The production carries an audience advisory of 'adult language.'

'Broadway Bound,' Simon's semi-autobiographical play follows the fledgling careers of hopeful ‘professional comedy writers' Stanley and Eugene Jerome as they try to break into the world of show business while trying to cope with their parents' continuing marital strife. When their ‘comedy' material is finally broadcast on the radio for the first time, their family's reaction is anything but laudatory.

The Stage Door production is being directed by Arthur Whitelaw, who directed the original 'Taffeta' Off-Broadway, and was the original producer. Florida Stage, now in residence at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, is celebrating leading ladies of the theatre with a gala fundraising event. The evening includes cocktails at sunset, followed by a showcase of South Florida's finest musical talent and culinary delights. The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts has announced the 2011/2012 Regional Arts MUSIC 'At Eight' and MUSIC 'At Two' Concert Series, featuring many of the world's most celebrated classical artists. The series is again being sponsored by Leonard and Sophie Davis. 'The 2011/2012 season is very strong with seven symphony orchestras performing 10 of the 15 total concerts in the series, including the first performance in Palm Beach County by the Cleveland Orchestra since starting its residency in Miami five years ago,' said Lee Bell, Senior Director of Programming at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

Offenbach's reputation was firmly established by his hugely successful comic operas, but with The Tales of Hoffmann, the composer of the famous 'Can-Can' from Orpheus in the Underworld was determined to achieve recognition as a composer of serious opera as well. Based on several short stories by the writer E.T.A. Hoffmann, The Tales of Hoffmann would soon become a favorite vehicle for many of the world's leading opera singers who relished the opportunity to exploit its limitless dramatic opportunities. Canadian tenor David Pomeroy, who made his 2009 Metropolitan Opera debut in the title role of its new production of The Tales of Hoffmann, will make his FGO debut in the same role.

Dolores Ziff, wife of Sanford Ziff and beloved philanthropist to many South Florida charities, has died at the age of 85. The mother of four boys, she passed away Tuesday from pneumonia complications at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, surrounded by her family.

Two of Miami's most respected performing arts organizations are collaborating to bring the gospel musical CROWNS to South Florida audiences during Black History Month 2011. The M Ensemble Company opens its 2010-2011 season with its debut performance at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County with the gospel musical CROWNS by Regina Taylor. Adapted from the book by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry, CROWNS runs from February 2-6, 2011 in the Adrienne Arsht Center's Carnival Studio Theater.

While Gulfshore Playhouse generally casts professional actors from New York, the cast of Unnecessary Farce consists of several professional actors from Florida led by Naples resident Zolan Henderson playing Officer Eric. Gulfshore Playhouse audiences may remember Zolan as Dr. Bob in last year's successful run of Beau Jest. Terry Wells, who hails from the St. Petersburg area, will be playing Mayor Meekley, and another Florida resident, Elizabeth Dimon, from Boca Raton, will be playing Mrs. Meekley, the Mayor's wife. Christopher Swan, known for various productions in the Florida area, will make his Gulfshore Playhouse debut as Agent Frank, the Mayor's nefarious security guard. Wendy Bergamini, playing accountant Karen Brown, just finished playing Miss Olsen in the Broadway revival of Promises, Promises, starring Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes. Rounding out the cast are Justin Holcomb as Todd, the mysterious Scottish hit man and Katrina Foy as Officer Billie. Gulfshore Playhouse audiences will remember Katy as Marianne in Tartuffe.

Count Carlo Gozzi's beloved comedy for children, The Love of Three Oranges returns to the stage to delight audiences of all ages, January 12 - February 6, 2011 at The PlayGround Theatre, 9806 NE 2nd Avenue in Miami Shores. Artistic Director Stephanie Ansin will again direct her adaptation of The Love of Three Oranges, continuing The PlayGround Theatre's mission to bring the magic and joy of live theater to children of all ages.
