On Monday, September 20, Jay Armstrong Johnson made his solo concert debut as part of the Broadway at Birdland series. The house was packed with Broadway heavy hitters, including Hair co-author James Rado, Sara Gettelfinger, Todrick Hall, Jason Michael Snow and Alex Brightman.

Beginning September 23, The Human Race Theatre Company and Wright State University Theatre are engaging in a unique collaboration to present Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning comedy/drama masterpiece August: Osage County.

Playwrights Lynn Nottage and Will Eno were joined by Edward Albee, Elizabeth Ashley, André Bishop, Arthur French, Carlin Glynn, Tony Kushner, Jim Houghton, Peter Masterson, David Margulies, Charles Mee, Christopher Shinn, Lois Smith and Diane Foote, Hallie Foote and Horton Foote, Jr., among others to receive Horton Foote Prizes for Outstanding New American Play and Promising New American Play respectively.

Court Theatre opens its 56th season with Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors, directed by Sean Graney. The production will run September 16 - October 17, 2010 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.

Michelle Federer (Wicked's Original Broadway Nessarose) spent Sunday, September 19th, mentoring the young talent of Broadway's future as she led a Wicked-themed master class with Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City. Federer inspired, as she skillfully guided a master class in 'Song Interpretation' to a group of eager and talented young performers ages 10 to 21. Students also spent time on cold readings and scene study utilizing scenes from Wicked. Michelle's morning class was followed by an advanced audition technique workshop with a top casting representative from Telsey and Co. Casting.
