The first Delaware County Dance Festival, which organizers are expecting to become an annual event, will kick off on Thursday, August 2 at The Media Theatre. It all starts at 7pm with several local dance companies, troupes, and solo performers highlighting various genres of dance.

What happens when you put a bunch of playwrights, directors, and actors in a room and tell them in 24 hours they must write a script and put on a show? Local playwrights will write one act scripts overnight, directors and actors will rehearse all day, concluding with costumed and staged performances in the evening at Playhouse on Park!

Pipeline Theatre Company in association with Theater for the New City and Crystal Field (Artistic Director) are set to present GIANT KILLER SLUGS from August 22 through September 2 at Theater for the New City's Johnson Theater (155 First Ave) as part of the Dream Up Festival. It is written by Colby Day and will be directed by Daniel Johnsen.

Direct from sold-out engagements and rave reviews across the country, the brassy, sassy Calamari Sisters will bring their hysterical all-singing, all-dancing, all-cooking hit musical COOKING WITH THE CALAMARI SISTERS to Philadelphia's Society Hill Playhouse, with previews beginning on Sept. 27. The limited six-week engagement will continue through Nov. 4, with an official press opening scheduled for Friday, Oct. 12 at 8:00PM.

From the Top with host Christopher O'Riley, the preeminent showcase for young musicians, announces its 2012-2013 National Tour dates for recording its popular NPR radio program. The tour includes concert events at From the Top's home base at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall and cities from Beijing, China to Athens, Georgia to Davis, California. Guest artists for the season will include cellist Matt Haimovitz, as well as two professional orchestras - the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

Luna and 204 Main presents SONGS FROM A GLASS HALF FULL, a musical revue, about the different perspectives we take toward the moments in our lives, with lyrics by Sharon Springs' very own Drew Taylor and music by Robert Cioffi, will be tested on July 27 and 28th at BANK in Sharon Springs, New York, in anticipation for its Manhattan premiere. The premiere in Sharon Springs will help to benefit the renovation/restoration of Chalybeate Park.

American Thymele Theatre's NYC Euripides Summer Festival Series presents Euripides' rarely staged and timely play CHILDREN OF HERCULES from August 7th thru 11th with outdoor performances at the East River Park Amphitheatre (8/7 and 8/8), the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park (8/9) and at Theatre 500 in the Times Square Arts Center (8/11). Stephen Diacrussi directs a cast of 25 headed by Michael Raimondi, Diana Swinburne, Tara Bancroft, Stephen Powell, Nicholas Sattinger, Paul Kirchmeyr and Ian Scott. The chorus is led by David Bushman.
