The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) announces the administration of a new award celebrating musical theatre talent: The Noël Coward Prize.

This fall, the sexy, soulful new musical comedy DIAL 'N' FOR NEGRESS will have its world premiere engagement for 16 performances only -- Thursday, September 10 through Saturday, September 26, 2009 -- at the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd St., NYC). Opening Night is Friday, September 11.

Meryl Cohn's new comedy 'And Sophie Comes Too' begins its New York premiere on Saturday, August 15, at The Cherry Pit (155 Bank Street), as part of the 13th Annual New York International Fringe Festival (a production of The Present Company). Two performances are already sold out!

Big Signature Productions will present Arthur Schnitzler's La Ronde, translated by Carl R. Mueller, as part of the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival/Fringe NYC this August. The production is directed by Larry Biederman with Lighting Design by John Eckert & Sound Design by John Zalweski. Goodspeed Musicals, the only two time Tony Award winning theatre in the country, is presenting the classic Camelot. This legendary musical from the director who brought you Goodspeed's 1776 and Big River runs through Sept. 19th at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. Theatre in the Valley's next production is Biloxi Blues by Neil Simon, directed by Theron LaFountain. NCTC's Summer Cabaret Series continues with Tom Orr in A Crass Act. Exiene Lofgren's BE A MAN!!!, directed by Grant Kretchik, gets its world premiere at the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival. Mason Street Warehouse's third and final show in this year's 2009 Summer Season is THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE.
