The Lake Shore Salon Series is proud to invite you to our very first literary salon on Sunday, March 20th (4pm to 6pm.) While there will music as usual, the focus will be on the words and biographies of NY Times Best-selling Author James Gavin. Gavin will discuss and then open up an interactive Q & A as he leads discussion and remembers American icon, Lena Horne (June 30, 1917 - May 9, 2010) and Chet Baker (December 23, 1929 - May 13, 1988).

The Legacy Theatre, a full-time professional theatre, is holding open auditions for children/teens ages 8-17 for 'Peter Pan, or the Boy Who Would Not Grow Up,' by J.M. Barrie, in a new version by John Caird & Trevor Nunn. Original music & lyrics by Scott Bradley. Performances are July 8-31. NON-EQUITY PERFORMERS. All children's roles are available. At a festival celebrating the 78th birthday of the late Patsy Cline, held on the singer's front steps in Winchester, VA and judged by her surviving family and friends, Carol Glass thrilled the crowd with her amazing ability to sing like the country music star. Glass, who lives in Seneca and has performed Patsy Cline songs in area festivals and programs for the last seven years, brought back the title and the knowledge that her voice was the closest thing to those who knew Patsy best.

THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE ARTS are taking the forthcoming election very seriously. For the first time ever meetings around the country will take place on February 14th at 11am. Meetings will be held at the Project Arts Centre in Dublin, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway, and the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork. In Dublin, arts spokespersons from all 5 political parties will attend a meeting to outline their respective arts policies and answer questions.
