The World According to James was formed in 1992 by James Greening, one of Australia’s leading jazz trombonists, who has been widely praised for his work with such leading ensembles as Wanderlust, The Catholics and The Umbrellas. With The World According to James, he steps forward as bandleader and composer, presenting music with all the qualities of wit, creativity and exuberance that have long been associated with his work as a soloist.
Together with outstanding jazz musicians Andrew Robson, Steve Elphick and Toby Hall, performances by The World According to James show a deeply embedded musicality and love of music making.
