SALTWATER GIRLS to Make Victorian Premiere at Melbourne Fringe
Lana Filies' solo work SALTWATER GIRLS explores queer girlhood and Catholic school through storytelling and poetry, following a successful Sydney Fringe run.
Lana Filies' solo work explores queer girlhood, Catholic school and the long road to finding one's own way. Infusing storytelling and poetry, Filies creates a deeply personal work moving between humour, discomfort and moments of genuine tenderness, examining girlhood through the lens of memory, faith, desire and survival. Written and performed by Lana Filies and directed by Amelia Gilday, the show follows a successful Sydney Fringe season and makes its Victorian premiere at Melbourne Fringe. The production is presented by Moon Bureau.
