Ruthie Henshall, Lucy Durack and More Set for Theatre Royal's SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM Concert, April 20

More of the performers that will make up the company of the very special concert version of SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM that takes place on Friday 20 April 2012 at Theatre Royal, Sydney have been announced.

The concert, headlined by, West End and Broadway star, Ruthie Henshall also features a host of Australia’s most beloved performers. Trailer.

Mitchell Butel (Avenue Q); Alinta Chidzey (West Side Story); Brendan Coustley (Rock of Ages); Helen Dallimore (Into The Woods, Spring Awakening); Lucy Durack (Legally Blonde, Wicked); Wayne Scott Kermond (Singin’ In The Rain); Melissa Langton (We Will Rock You); Lara Mulcahy (MAMMA MIA!); Josh Piterman (An Officer and a Gentleman, West Side Story); Shaun Rennie (Cats, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber). 

Some of Australia’s best-known television stars will also appear on the night, narrating the show.   Narrators include:  Paula Duncan, Judy Nunn, Andrew O’Keefe, Jessica Rowe and Bruce Venables. 

Singing additional vocals on the night will be:  Johanna Allen, Erin James, Anita Plateris and Belinda Wollaston. 

This talented list of performers join the previously announced Rachael Beck (Beauty and the Beast, Cabaret, Hey Dad) Peter Cousens (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera); Margi de Ferranti(MAMMA MIA!); Michael Falzon (We Will Rock You), Ben Lewis (Love Never Dies); Stephen Mahy (Jersey Boys), Enda Markey (Side By Side By Sondheim tour) Maria Mercedes (Love Never Dies, Sunset Blvd), one of Australia’s best loved actresses, Amanda Muggleton; Anna O’Byrne (Love Never Dies) and Geraldine Turner. 

SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM celebrates the early part of Stephen Sondheim’s in career in landmark shows that revolutionised musical theatre. This wonderful production celebrates some of his best-known works including Send In The Clowns, Broadway Baby, Losing My Mind and Being Alive as well as featuring songs fromWest Side Story and Gypsy.
