MixEd Salad Productions is auditioning local actors for the remaining two roles in the SA Premiere of the award-winning political comedy ‘Feelgood' by Alistair Beaton.

The roles of Asha and Simon are required for this outrageously funny satire on modern politics and the fine art of spin to be directed by Sally Putnam for a June season.

It's party conference time, and in the leader's hotel suite, the spin doctors are sweating over the Prime Minister's speech. With public opinion increasingly volatile, there's panic at the top. This time it's all got to be perfect.

But in the same hotel a journalist is piecing together a scandal so far-reaching that it could keep the party out of power for a generation. Can the story be killed? Can the journalist be bought off? And exactly how far will a government go to save itself?

Auditions for these two roles only will be held on Saturday 19 February at 10.30 am at Level 1, 24 Crittenden Road, Findon. The auditions do not require a prepared piece, but will be a group workshop to see how potential cast members interact together.

If you're interested in working in a superb ensemble piece in one of the terrific roles remaining, you must book an audition time by calling 0439 533 173. For more information visit www.mixedsalad.com.au

CHARACTER INFORMATION:

Asha - 24-35 - Female - An ambitious, hard-working and dynamic whirlwind, Asha is an immaculately presented member of the Prime Minister's PR team. Think power suit, serious heels and plenty of attitude. A keen multi-tasker with her mobile permanently glued to her ear, she will do anything to prove herself. But has Asha got what it takes to rise through the ranks of the faceless men?

Simon - 24-35 - Male - A hot young TV comedy writer drafted in by the Prime Minister to provide gags for his speech and appeal to a younger audience. Famous for writing a popular but cringe-worthy sitcom, Simon spends a lot of time convincing people his jokes are as funny as he thinks they are. Think messy hair, chewing gum and nervous curiosity. When Simon gets caught in the cross-fire of a political scandal and the plans to cover it up, does he use it as material for his act or does he get serious for once?
