Helpmann Nominations Announced in Sydney and Melbourne, 8/2

A List of Nominations in each of the 42 categories for the Helpmann Awards® will be announced in Sydney and Melbourne, concurrently, on Monday 2 August at 6pm, in the Utzon Room, Sydney Opera House and the Amcor Lounge, Arts Centre, Melbourne. David Campbell will host the announcement event in Sydney.

In addition there will be three other major announcements, being the two recipients of the JC Williamson Award^TM, which recognises an extraordinary contribution by distinguished members of the live entertainment industry, and Kathryn Sadler, Chair of the Brian Stacey Memorial Trust will, in Melbourne, announce the winner of the Brian Stacey Award for Emerging Australian Conductors with the winner being presented with a $7,000 prize.

The 2010 Helpmann Awards® Ceremony, the 10th presentation of the Awards, will be held on Monday 6 September at 6.30pm at the Opera Theatre, Sydney Opera House, whilst the After Party will be held at The Argyle in The Rocks.

The Helpmann Awards® will be broadcast live and exclusively on STVDIO, channel 132 on FOXTEL.
