BK Opera Presents DIRTY SEXY OPERA At The Butterfly Club
![]()
It's time to have some fun with all the naughty, sexy and downright dirty opera classics. This hilarious 'adults only' concert will entertain and amuse you, leaving little to the imagination. Come join us in the intimate Butterfly Club as we take you on a journey of seduction, manipulation and roof raising arias.
Performed in Cabaret style by Melbourne-based BK Opera, known for their raw, edgy and intimate productions, it will not only entertain devout opera connoisseurs but will also break down the preconceptions and stereotypes new audiences have of opera. Over 4 nights in April, we will show you that opera can be fun, vibrant, hot, sizzling, innovative and poignant unlike any other art form. Brace yourselves Melbourne for Opera unlike you have seen it before.
As a relatively newcomer in town, BK Opera has come off the back of two successful seasons, winning the 2017 OperaChaser Innovation Award. Working with emerging singers, they aim to strip opera back to the 'bare bones', focusing on the emotional core of this timeless art form. This means showing the sexy, raw and intimate moments of our favourite opera characters.
This production opens on 24th April and runs for 4 nights. Bookings are highly recommended, to secure the hottest ticket of the year.
