Looking Back, Looking Forward celebrates Musiqa's 25th anniversary with a double bill of new chamber operas exploring memory, change, and the choices that shape our lives. The program includes Iphigenia, with music by Anthony Brandt and libretto by Neena Beber, which reimagines a Greek myth in a contemporary setting centered on a wind energy project and community uncertainty. The second work, Follow the Sky, by Pierre Jalbert and Stephanie Fleischmann, follows a philosophy student haunted by the music of an aging violinist, exploring displacement and the meaning of home.
