The Campfire Gathering Team Issues Statement on COVID-19 Outbreak
The Campfire Gathering team has issued a statement in regard to the status of next week's festival:
"The inaugural Campfire Gathering will proceed as planned on March 16 & 17, 2020.
The wellbeing of our attendees, artists, and employees is of utmost importance, so we will continue to closely monitor the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization's (WHO) and Texas Health & Human Services (Texas HHS) information regarding preventative and advisory measures.
The event team is taking precautionary measures onsite to protect our attendees and other guests, including the placement of additional sanitization stations throughout the grounds at the Camp Lucy Resort in Dripping Springs, Texas. We are also encouraging ticket-holders and staff who are symptomatic to stay at home, and ultimately remind those coming to the festival to practice proper personal hygiene.
We understand that this is a new and fluid situation, and will work to update our ticket purchasers with new information as it becomes available to us. To stay up to date on future Campfire Gathering news and announcements, please visit campfiregathering.com. For additional questions, please contact info@campfiregathering.com.
Lastly, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to those affected by the recent cancellation of SXSW, especially those in the service, hospitality, and creative industries. As a local independent event producer, we recognize the difficulties this unexpected occurrence brings and empathize with those affected. Now more than ever, our team feels motivated to support all of the local workers, businesses and artists who are helping to bring the inaugural Campfire Gathering to fruition by moving forward with our own event next week."
Sincerely,
The Campfire Gathering Team"
