Every year, thousands of people come to Austin, Texas to attend South by Southwest (SXSW).

According to their website, "The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conferences & Festivals (March 8-17, 2013) offer the unique convergence of original music, independent films, and emerging technologies. Fostering creative and professional growth alike, SXSW is the premier destination for discovery."

It's an opportunity for many to unite and share ideas and talents. During the music week, which begins tomorrow, there will be new music performed by bands from all over the world. Countries like Germany, Ireland and Mexico will all be represented. This will give people the chance to hear their new music. There will also be some more well-known musicians well. Among those scheduled to perform or present are Dave Grohl, who will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday, March 13, Green Day, who will share their new documentary, Broadway Idiot, Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac fame, Depeche Mode and a myriad of new and upcoming performers. There's still time to register and attend many of the events during the week. Go to www.sxsw.com for more details. And be sure to check back on our Austin page all week for updates of many events.
