Moontower Comedy Festival 2018 Announces Lineup Additions: Janeane Garofalo, Ryan Hamilton, Preacher Lawson

The seventh annual MOONTOWER COMEDY FESTIVAL, along with producers the Paramount Theatre and sponsors Cap City Comedy Club, has announced additional comics to the 2018 lineup, including multiple headlining acts performing at Stateside at the Paramount as well as a variety of comedians playing shows at Moontower satellite venues throughout Austin. Further additions to the lineup will be announced in the months ahead, including the Moontower Podcast Series.

Newly announced talent set to take the stage at Stateside include Ryan Hamilton, who released his first 1-hour Netflix special, Happy Face, and Preacher Lawson, a finalist on America's Got Talent 2017, considered one of the show's funniest comedians ever. Fan favorite Colin Quinn also returns to perform his new show "One in Every Crowd," as well as Moontower alum Janeane Garofalo, who recently reprised her role as Beth in the Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.

Among the amazing comedians performing in this year's Moontower Satellite Venues are established comics, such as Ali Siddiq, Kevin Barnett, and Kurt Braunohler, as well as a mix of fresh faces, including new SNL writers Sam Jay and Julio Torres. Moontower favorites like Jackie Kashian, Andy Kindler, Emily Heller, The Sklar Brothers, Jon Rudnitsky, Kurt Metzger, Tom Rhodes, Judah Friedlander and the Goddamn Comedy Jam will also return for the 2018 festival.

These latest additions join the three previously announced Paramount headlining comics, including "Weird Al" Yankovic, who will be performing as part of his The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour - a stripped-down, no-frills production along with opener and previous Moontower performer Emo Philips; comedian, actor, and filmmaker Mike Birbiglia; and comedian and actor Tiffany Haddish.
