City Theatre to Host 9th Season Kick-Off Celebration, 10/18

"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east..."

What light is breaking in the east?? It is the newly installed lighting at the City Theatre! East Austin and Airport Blvd. is now Lit Up! to kick off the 2014 - 2015 City Theatre season.

Join us for the new season celebration, Saturday, October 18th. Great food, drinks, company, and live music!

On Saturday, October 18th, City Theatre will be kicking off the new season all day at City Theatre. Baby Brom's Home Cookin' (an amazing chef and my amazing mother) will be serving her WORLD FAMOUS CHICKEN SPAGHETTI from 11 am. to 3 pm. Plates to go will be $6 with money going towards the new lighting, as well as, to the American Cancer Society. Live music in the evening with THE LOLLYGAGGERS starting at 9 pm. on the CTC stage.

This past June, City Theatre began its fundraising for the Light It Up! campaign with the hope to reach its goal by October 1st. With generous donations, the theatre has received a vast amount of support. In fact, a contribution come through that would match any donation that was made. Because of this additional help, City Theatre is going to extend its deadline for contributions to 9 pm. Saturday, October 18th, where the theatre will cut the ribbon, make a toast to the new season, and enjoy the night with great music! Does your donation count? It does. Any every little bit helps. Make your donation today.

YOU MAKE IT POSSIBLE. Each year, thousands of theatre patrons, students, organizations, and artists walk through the doors of the City Theatre. With the production of countless stage musicals, hit comedies, dramatic classics, and new works, the CTC goal has always remained the same: The City Theatre is the city's theater, established for Austin directors, designers and performers who have one goal: the continued excellence in stage performances and the desire to bring that quality, commitment, and service to the central Texas theatrical community.
