Beautiful Eunuchs at The Anchor

Beautiful Eunuchs is a butoh-based evening of dance and physical theatre created and directed by Burning Bones artistic director Frankie Worster Mulinix (they/them). Comprised of two acts — Feminist Fatigue and Masc — the work explores the divergent demands, pleasures, limitations, opportunities, and satisfactions ascribed in our culture to different genders, in dialogue with Jean Baudrillard's conception of the human body as the finest consumer object. Butoh is performed by Thomas Bell, Sharon C. Carelock, Hiroko Kelly, Holly Stevenson, and Frankie Worster Mulinix, with lighting design by Lindsey Sharpless.
