Violinist Joshua Bell To Perform With Atl Symphony 9/30-10/2

Violinist Joshua Bell will join Music Director Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
September 30 and October 1, 2011, at 8:00 p.m., and October 2, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in Atlanta
Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. Mr. Bell will perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concert. The
program will also include Brahms's Fourth Symphony, and the Atlanta Symphony premiere of Osvaldo Golijov's Sidereus, commissioned in 2009 by the League of American Orchestras in honor of past president and CEO Henry Fogel.

These performances will mark Mr. Bell's ninth appearance with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He
most recently performed with the Orchestra in November 2008.

Mr. Golijov is a member of the Atlanta School of Composers, which reflects Mr. Spano and the
Orchestra's commitment to nurturing and championing music through multi-year partnerships defining a new generation of American composers.

Single tickets for these performances are $26 to $84. All single tickets for the 2011-2012 season are
on sale now, and available online at atlantasymphony.org, or by calling (404) 733-5000. Tickets may
also be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, all ticketmaster outlets, and the Woodruff Arts Center Box Office, located in the Woodruff Arts Center at 15th and Peachtree Streets. Box office hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
