The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, led by Staff Conductor Jere Flint, will join forces with the ALLIANCE THEATRE to perform a semi-staged production of "The Remarkable Farkle McBride" tonight, April 29, 2012, at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

In this family-friendly concert, which is based on the popular children's book by John Lithgow, Young Farkle McBride brings the sounds and rhythms of an orchestra to sprawling visual life.

Family Concerts are an essential first step in introducing children to the lifelong pleasures of music. A stimulating and appealing mix of original and beloved children's tales, with visual humor and award-winning dancers and actors, the series is an elixir for young minds. "The Remarkable Farkle McBride" is the final concert in the Orchestra's 2011-2012 Family Concert Series.
