In honor of National Opera Week, The Atlanta Opera is inviting the Atlanta community to participate in #OperaSleuthATL, an Online Opera Scavenger Hunt, October 29 to November 2, 2012. Participants can become "opera detectives" by uncovering clues scattered throughout Atlanta, and photographing progress along the way. Detectives will be challenged to solve opera riddles, find venues, take pictures and submit their evidence to the Atlanta Opera's Facebook and Twitter pages or email using the hashtag #OperaSleuthATL. This event is free and open to all ages. For those using email, please send photos to socialmedia@atlantaopera.org.

How to Play
A daily clue will be posted promptly at 9:00 a.m. Participants will have until 9:00 p.m. that evening to solve the opera riddle, find the venue, take a picture and submit the evidence via Facebook, Twitter or email using the hashtag #OperaSleuthATL to receive a full 50 points.
On the last day, Friday, November 2nd, detectives will have between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to uncover the final clue. Once participants capture the clue using their Smart Phones or cameras, they will go to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The first contestant to arrive with the greatest number of points will claim the Grand Prize.

Daily prizes can be picked up at The Atlanta Opera Center or Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The Grand Prize will be awarded between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2nd at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
