THE START OF DREAMS Screening at Southwest Arts Center to Benefit Toys for Tots, 12/7
Jennifer Gordon Thompson and The Horne Brothers are pleased to announce an exclusive screening of the critically acclaimed documentary, "The Start of Dreams". The screening will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 7 PM at the theatre of the Southwest Arts Center. Admission is $10 or Free when you bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. "The Start Of Dreams", produced by Jennifer Gordon Thompson and directed by The Horne Brothers, is the story of award-winning director Kenny Leon bringing aspiring teenage actors to a Broadway stage via True Colors Theatre Company's August Wilson Monologue Competition. In a time where arts education is considered expendable, Leon is determined to use his celebrity and influence to expose kids across the country to the wonderful world of theatre, giving everyday kids the courage to dream big. "The Start of Dreams" is packed with Hollywood's elite, including Viola Davis, Phylicia Rashad, Samuel L. Jackson and others, weighing in on this important art form and what it means to the future of our country.
