STAGE TUBE:  Jeff Perry, Thomas Vincent Kelly, and Sal Viscuso Talk Alliance Theatre's A STEADY RAIN

By:

The Alliance Theatre's production of A STEADY RAIN, a contemporary crime drama by writer and producer Keith Huff(Mad Men, American Crime), is directed by Steppenwolf Theatre co-founder Jeff Perry (who currently plays White House Chief of Staff Cyrus Beene on ABC's SCANDAL). A STEADY RAIN runs on the Hertz Stage at the Alliance Theatre now thorugh October 11, 2015. In the video, Jeff Perry, Thomas Vincent Kelly, and Sal Viscuso talk about the show. Check it out!

A Steady Rain received its world premiere in Chicago where it was awarded the Joseph Jefferson Awards for Best New Work and Best Production in 2008. It made its Broadway debut in 2009 with Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig in the leading roles.

A Steady Rain is a harrowing and intimate story of two Chicago policemen pushing their moral boundaries to the breaking point. Sharing a squad car, the two men bond together against an increasingly violent and deeply troubling inner city. Their already-strained professional and personal relationship is put to the test when a deadly error of judgment sends their lives spinning out of control. Scorching drama with haunting performances and edge-of-your-seat dramatic tension.

A Steady Rain stars Thomas Vincent Kelly (Alliance: Good People) as Joey, and Sal Viscuso (Regional: Clybourne Park) as Danny, who will reprise their roles from previous productions of A Steady Rain, also directed by Jeff Perry, at the Guthrie Theater and the Odyssey Theatre.

The creative team includes Set and Media Designer Adam Dean Flemming, Costume Designer Jeff Cone, Lighting Designer Michael Gend, Sound Designer John Zalewski, and Composer Ray Leslee.

Performances of A Steady Rain are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., September 18 - October 11, 2015. Opening Night is Sept. 23. There will be no 2:30 p.m. performance on Saturday, Sept. 19.
