RUMC Opens 21st Season With The Riverside Chamber Players 9/13

The Sounds of the Spirit Concert Series opens its 21st season with the Riverside Chamber Players. The chamber players are dedicated to the idea that classical music can be accessible and appreciated by community members of all ages and cultural and educational backgrounds.

The Riverside Chamber Players is a unique organization whose mission is two-fold-to provide top quality musical performances to Roswell and surrounding communities, and to provide a family-oriented educational experience. The Riverside Chamber Players concerts are dedicated to the idea that classical music can be accessible and appreciated by community members of all ages with a broad variety of cultural and educational backgrounds.

This concert is designed to present established repertoire, as well as to introduce new and less-familiar compositions. Each work on the program is explored not only through the performance itself, but through a verbal discussion and demonstration, allowing time for the audience to ask questions about each musical composition. The informality of the dialogue encourages those audience members who are new to the experience of a formal concert program to feel entirely comfortable with the setting.
