The Center for Puppetry Arts will host its annual String Fling fundraising gala Saturday, September 7 from6:30-10pm at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead. The black-tie optional evening features a cocktail hour, seated dinner, special puppetry performances, and live and silent auctions as well an open bar. Puppet-lovers and art supporters alike will enjoy this evening of elegance and whimsy. Individual tickets are $200; table sponsorships begin at $2,500 (10 seats per table).
This year's can't-miss String Fling celebrates the Center's 35th birthday. Highlights will include exclusive puppetry performances, fantastic auction items (including trips to Barbados; Watercolor, FL; and San Diego, CA), and other birthday surprises!
Last year, String Fling raised more than $200,000 to help support the Center's Field Trip Sponsorship Program, which provides approximately 70,000 deeply discounted and free admissions for children each year. The Center serves families, schools, libraries, and community organizations across the United States and in several foreign countries through Distance Learning and outreach programs.
This year's String Fling media sponsor is Simply Buckhead magazine. Other String Fling 2013 sponsors include The Coca-Cola Company, the Frances and Beverly DuBose Foundation, Fifth Third Bank, Heery, the Isdell Family Foundation, and the Schwarzkopf Family Foundation.*
