The Vineyard Café and Dinner Theatre will present Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park later this month in their intimate venue in Marietta Square, and they'll be serving up their comedy with a side of Italian dinner favorites. That combo makes this the perfect date-night outing.

Made famous by the 1967 film adaptation of the same name starring Jane Fonda and Robert Redford, Barefoot in the Park tells the story of newlyweds Paul and Corie Bratter as they return from their honeymoon to realize that married life is tougher than it looks. Corie is a free spirit who thinks that people should walk barefoot in the park. Paul is a straitlaced, sensible lawyer who has never even considered walking barefoot in the park. How can two people with such different personalities adjust to a lifetime of togetherness?

The accompanying dinner will be served buffet style and will include garlic knots, a garden salad, Eggplant Rollatini, Basil and Mozzarella-stuffed Chicken Sausage in a homemade vegetable marinara, Green Beans Almondine, Cheesy Cauliflower, and Sea-salt Caramel Cheesecake. Wine and beer can be purchased separately at the venue.

The show will run on the following dates and at the following times:

Saturday, April 22 - Dinner at 7:00 p.m. and show at 8:15 p.m.

Sunday, April 23 - Dinner at 6:00 p.m. and show at 7:15 p.m.

Friday, April 28 - Dinner at 7:00 p.m. and show at 8:15 p.m.

Saturday, April 29 - Dinner at 7:00 p.m. and show at 8:15 p.m.

Tickets are $40. Call 678-581-3771 or email thevineyardcafe@comcast.net to purchase.
