Atlanta Symphony and Atlanta Braves Partner for Music Appreciation Night at Turner Field, 8/17

The Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will partner for the first Music Appreciation Night at Turner Field when the Atlanta Braves take on the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. The game begins at 7:10 p.m. and tickets are available exclusively online at: braves.com/atlantasymphony.
Members of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, led by Youth Orchestra Music Director Jere Flint, will perform the National Anthem at 6:50 p.m. Pre-game musical and educational activities will be available and free only to ticket holders of that day's game from 5-6:50 p.m., including an Instrument Petting Zoo and an Educational Panel. Prior to the game, fans will be able to see, hear, touch, and play various instruments as part of a pregame Instrument Petting Zoo in Monument Grove. The Instrument Petting Zoo will take place from 5:00-6:50 p.m.Fans will also have the chance to enjoy a pre-game Education Panel from 5:30-6:30 p.m., hosted by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Guests will hear music and sports panelists discuss how music has impacted their lives and careers. Panelists will be announced.Tickets
