Atlanta Fringe Festival Announces Open Submissions For 2019

After a successful return this summer, the Atlanta Fringe Festival is thrilled to announce open submissions for their 7th annual festival, taking place in June of 2019.

Submitting to the Fringe Festival and to Fringe Audio is easier than ever - performing artists of all disciplines can apply via online form at the Atlanta Fringe website, now through January 31, 2019.

The 24 artists that make up this year's lineup will be announced via Facebook Live on February 2nd. As always, the selection will be made via unjuried lottery (literally drawn from a hat, per Fringe tradition.) More information about the selection process and Fringe Audio can be found at the Atlanta Fringe website, www.atlantafringe.org

Beginning in 2011, the Atlanta Fringe has hosted hundreds of local and national artists from across the theatrical spectrum: modern dancers, comedy troupes, performance artists, storytellers, puppeteers, and everything in between. ATL Fringe is a great opportunity for artists to produce their work with little financial risk: they pay low fees upfront ($25 application, $250 production fee if selected), keep 85% of their ticket revenue, and are eligible for cash prizes for favorite shows as selected by the audience, staff and a panel of judges from the Atlanta arts community.

This year's festival will take place in traditional and converted performing spaces in Little Five Points and East Atlanta, including 7Stages, the Highland Ballroom, The Marianna at Wrecking Bar Brewpub, the International Montessori Academy and more venues to be announced soon.

Those interested are encouraged to follow AFF on Twitter (@AtlantaFringe) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/atlantafringe), where they will find new announcements, volunteer opportunities, and lots of parody rap lyrics and/or puns and dad jokes.
