Atlanta Actors De Maria, Hobbs Offer Free Preview of New Musical THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE
Atlanta actors Jessica De Maria (currently in Aurora Theatre's MARY POPPINS as Mrs. Brill and Bird Woman) and Jeremiah Parker Hobbs (currently appearing as Riff Raff in Actor's Express's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW) are hosting a free preview of the music and selections from the script of their new musical THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE.
With Music and Lyrics by Hobbs and Book by Hobbs and De Maria, THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE is a folk rock musical about relationships, art, passion, youth, love, and hope. It brings you inside a mind that's overwhelmed, under examined, and expressive. It's an epic poem, a cycle of thoughts and memory to music, as a man tries to piece together his cause for hope. This preview will be performed by the authors under the direction of Brandon Partrick.
The event will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd at 8:00pm at the Java Monkey in Decatur (425 Church Street, Decatur, GA, 30030). In addition to the show, you can take in the atmosphere on the patio as well as purchase food, wine, or coffee.
