Actor's Express Presents ANGELS IN AMERICA, Parts One and Two Image

Actor's Express will produce the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning Angels in America Part One: Millennium Approaches and Part Two: Perestroika. Co-directed by Freddie Ashley and Martin Damien Wilkins, Angels in America will run in rep, allowing audiences some opportunities to see both plays in one day. Performances are January 12 through February 17. The New York Times says it is "a vast, miraculous play." Artistic Director Freddie Ashley says, "As we continue our thirtieth anniversary season, we are excited to dive into this marvelous play, one of the great modern classics of the American theatre. Kushner's brilliant writing brings to life a story of thirty years ago that feels urgent, immediate and absolutely reflective of the current moment. Not since its premiere in the early 90s has this play been more relevant in its unflinching examination of what it means to be American." Tickets start as low as $20 and may be purchased online at actors-express.com or by calling 404-607-7469.

Production sponsored by Stephen Michael Brown and Dr. Jesse Peel.

Directing sponsored by Mark Williamson.

Photo: Angels in America cast by Ashley Earles-Bennett. Featuring Robert BryanA. Davis, Carolyn Cook, Grant Chapman, Parris Sarter, Louis Greggory, Cara Mantella, Joe Sykes, and Thandiwe DeShazor.
