Acting Troupe Of Lambert Brings CHICAGO To The Stage

The award-winning Acting Troupe of Lambert is excited to bring the musical "Chicago" to the local community on March 8, 9 10, 2018!

"Chicago: A Musical Vaudeville" is based on the 1926 play about actual criminals and is a satire on corruption in the administration of criminal justice and the concept of the "celebrity criminal." Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly find themselves on death row together and fight for the fame that will keep them from the gallows. The musical "Chicago" razzle-dazzled passed "Cats" to become the second longest-running show ever on Broadway. It also won many awards including 9 Academy Awards, 3 Golden Globe awards and features one powerhouse musical number after another! This production is PG-13.

Artistic Direction/Choreography is under the direction of Lambert High School's Theater Department Director, Ms. Carly Berg along with Student Assistant Director, Julia Darga and Student Assistant Choreographers Caroline Cannizzaro and Emma Lawes. Music direction is under Lambert High School's Chorus/Music Theory Director, Mr. Ryan Wason and Student Music Director, Charlotte Weng.

Performances will be held at the Lambert High School Auditorium: 805 Nichols Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024 (in back of the school).

Tickets will be sold online and at the door. Online tickets may be purchased starting February 22nd by going to www.showtix4u.com. Type Lambert High School in the search field and make your selection. Adults: $15/Students $10 (Seat selection is available for online purchases only. Tickets sold at the door are general admission).

Chicago is being performed with permission from Samuel French, Inc., 235 Park Avenue South, 5th Floor New York, NY 10003. Music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and based on the book by Ebb and Bob Fosse.
