On August 1st, Shonn Wiley will succeed Doug Kreeger in the role of Richard Loeb in the York Theatre's musical hit Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story.

Wiley recently earned strong reviews for playing Younger Brother in the Papermill Playhouse's smash production of Ragtime. He made his Broadway debut in the revival of 42nd Street and has also appeared in Dracula: The Musical. He played the recurring role of Young Josh Lewis on the CBS soap opera "Guiding Light," as well.

Thrill Me, which recently extended its run for a third time, is playing at the York Theatre (at Saint Peter's Citigroup Center, 619 Lexington Avenue at 54th Street) with no closing date set. Directed by Michael Rupert (Sweet Charity, Falsettos) and based on the infamous 1924 Leopold and Loeb murder case, the show originally opened on May 26th for a limited run. Lyricist/composer Stephen Dolginoff, who began his career as a musical theater actor, has taken over the role of Nathan Leopold for the extension period; he replaced Matt Bauer.

Set in 1924 Chicago, the show recounts the tale of the legendary duo who committed one of the most infamous heinous crimes of the 20th Century. It chronicles the events that led childhood friends Leopold and Loeb to forever be remembered as "the thrill killers."

Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story runs on the following schedule from July 18th: Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings at 8:00 pm, with Saturday evening performances at 5:00 PM

Tickets are $55. Student tickets are available on the day of the performance for $20, subject to availability. Tickets are available at Smarttix.com, (212) 868-4444, or in person at the box office on the lower level at Saint Peter's. For further information, visit www.yorktheatre.org.
