Weinstein Salutes Sinatra with That's Life, Oct. 10-24

That's Life, starring Richard Weinstein, will be presented at the Kraine Theatre (85 E. 4th St.) this month.

"Weinstein knows first hand how hard it is to build a career in show business once, let alone, twice.  As the writer and star of That's Life, Weinstein studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, but left performing to pursue a more stable career in business," state press materials.

"Two years ago, Richard was convinced by a friend to try out for a Sinatra show called Let's Be Frank, at the Thirteenth Street Rep. He landed the role and his acting career was invigorated with a whole new energy.  Determined to return to the career that had eluded him years before, Richard wrote That's Life, finding inspiration in returning to the stage as Frank Sinatra. A career that was forgotten and a talent left undiscovered, is suddenly getting a second chance at the Kraine Theater in NYC."

That's Life "encompasses Sinatra's life in music, starting with the 'Big Band Era' and ending with the 'Old Blue Eyes is Back' era and his Vegas 'Rat Pack' days, but the show also touches on his love life and his movie career. Along the way, you'll meet Ava, Shirley, Marilyn, Liza, Bing, Sammy and Dean."

Featured in the cast with Richard Weinstein, are Jody Bell, Jane Burgess, Ronnie Davidson, Sergio Fuenzalida, Natalie Grace, Mike Hill and Larry Stephen Hines. That's Life is directed by Cheryl Francis, with choreography by Cheryl Francis and Larry Stephen Hines, musical direction by Larry Stephen Hines, with Peter Dizozza on piano. The original song "Las Vegas" was written by Johanna "Jojo" Deneroff.
