In just over a month, Broadway favorite Andrew Rannells will return to the stage as the title character in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, replacing Neil Patrick Harris (who departs the production on August 17). With just weeks until he struts across the Belasco stage, we can't help but freak out about his impending homecoming.

Below, BroadwayWorld brings you just a few reasons to get just as excited!

1. He's a HI-larious comedic actor.

Though 'Elder Cunningham' gets many of the biggest laughs in THE BOOK OF MORMON, Andrew gave Josh Gad a run for his money with his brilliant comedic timing in the 2011 musical.

2. He has vocal chords of steel.

Have you ever heard Andrew give a less-then-stellar vocal performance? We sure haven't!

3. He's just as entertaining on the big and small screen.

Andrew has made a name for himself even outside of the theatre community, starring in 'Bachelorette' and 'The New Normal' as well as his Critics Choice nominated performance on 'Girls.'

4. He has a great sense of humor.

Andrew's NBC show 'The New Normal' was cancelled last spring, but despite the bad news, he was still able to laugh about it, taking part in one of the most memorable performances of the 2013 Tony Awards.

5. He has worked hard to get where he is.

Andrew didn't just wake up one day a Broadway leading man. He paid his dues performing at various regional theatres before making his Broadway debut as 'Fender' and later 'Link' in Hairspray.

6. He's just as skilled off camera.

Before making it big in New York, Andrew did a lot of voiceover work in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. He later leant his voice to several television programs and video games, such as Yu-Gi-Oh!.

7. He keeps his fans in the loop.

Andrew's an avid Twitterer and Instagrammer. Follow him now to stay in the know! Recent tweet: So... #Hedwig rehearsals started today with charlesglynn... Very exciting.....

8. Have we mentioned that we could listen to him sing for days?

9. He's got guts.

Critics raved over Neil Patrick Harris' Tony-winning return to Broadway as everyone's favorite East German rockstar. It takes someone with real balls to fill those heals!

10. But we know he'll be awesome!

We're counting down the days 'til Andrew rocks it at the Belasco Theatre!
