Esoterica, a multi-media evening of magic and illusion, will close at the DR2 Theatre (103 East 15th Street) on Saturday, December 31st. The show opened on September 19th.
Daryl Roth and Leia Thompson present the show, which is written and performed by Eric Walton, actor, sleight-of-hand artist and raconteur. "In the show, he satirically investigated matters philosophical and metaphysical with great skill and humor," press notes state.
Walton has been a denizen of the New York performance scene since the mid-nineties, during which time he has worked in a wide range of media and disciplines in cities across the United States. He was recently honored by American Entertainment Magazine for excellence in his craft. He may be seen in the upcoming feature films Across the Universe, directed by Julie Taymor, and East of Jesus directed by Rod Bingaman.
Esoterica is directed by Elysa Marden. The set is designed by Troy Hourie, with costumes by Jessica Jahn, lighting by Ben Stanton, and sound by Lisa Heffter.
