In a New York City radio exclusive, WFUV will air two days of live main stage performances from the famed George Wein's Newport Folk Festival. On Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1stfrom 11:15 AM-7:30 PM, WFUV, in cooperation with NPR Music, will be broadcasting and webcasting all the Festival's main stage performances as they happen. WFUV Music Director Rita Houston, FUV Morning Host Claudia Marshall and NPR Host Bob Boilen will be in Newport to bring listeners performances by Andrew Bird, John Prine, The Swell Season and Levon Helm Band and many others. George Wein's Newport Folk Festival will air live on WFUV (90.7 FM) in New York City and worldwide on www.wfuv.org, where many of the Festival's performances will be available on demand.
