Victoria T. Morris, Bruce Daitch & Nanci Lewis Elected to Broadway Dreams Foundation's Board of Directors

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), a premier non-profit organization dedicated to training, mentoring and providing career opportunities to the next generation of musical theater performers, announced that Victoria T. Morris, CEO of Lexikat Artists; Bruce Daitch, Head of Strategy, Planning and Operations for DreamWorks SKG; and Nanci Lewis, of The Vanderblue Team, have been elected to the BDF's Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2016.

"We are very pleased to have these exceptional leaders join our Board of Directors," said BDF Executive Director, Annette Tanner. "Victoria and Bruce have been tremendous assets and friends to the organization throughout the years, connecting us to industry heavyweights who have brought incredible opportunities to our students. Nanci's deep experience in both the business and non-profit worlds in combination with her experience as a parent of a BDF student, gives her a unique passion and understanding of BDF's mission."

"It's rare to come across an organization that makes its corporate mission personal," said Bruce Daitch. "Annette and her leadership team demonstrate this through their attention to relationships that go much beyond what any program could offer. It's one thing to help open doors for these talented individuals but BDF continues to hold that door open while these artists deepen their skills along their individual paths to success. I felt the need to join this amazing organization and do my part in hopes to allow more artists to achieve their own goals and dreams."

Victoria T. Morris, CEO Lexikat Artists

Victoria Morris is President and CEO of Lexikat Artists, a producing and Management company, currently managing and developing theatre directors, writers and choreographers along with managing and developing Actors for Film, Television and Theatre. Prior to starting her own entertainment company, Victoria was Senior VP of Theatrical Talent at Kazarian Spencer and Associates. For the first 12 years as an agent at JHR, Victoria assisted in the development and creation of a multimillion-dollar dance department representing young and innovative dance talent around the world for the first time in entertainment history. She went on to create the first live theatre department at a commercial talent agency, devoted solely to the development of young theatre performers in Los Angeles. She then went on to augment that by opening the New York theatre division, which continues to represent actors for television and film, as well as Broadway and regional theatres. As a Master class facilitator Victoria has taught at Pepperdine, UCLA, AMDA and USC. Projects produced through Lexikat Artists in the past include, If All The Sky Were Paper (Kennedy Center, Kirk Douglas Theatre); Scary Musical (Noho Arts Center, The Wallis); Deaf West Theatre's Broadway revival of Spring Awakening.

"Helping young artists to advance their talent gives purpose, confidence and direction while creating meaningful careers. I am committed to helping such a positive organization advance its initiatives as a way to counteract the negative influences young people face globally and direct them to positive aspirations."

Bruce Daitch, DreamWorks

An 18-year veteran of the company, he began his career at DreamWorks SKG in its start-up phase as a financial analyst. Over the span of nearly 2 decades, has expanded his role and has spent most of his focus on the financial planning for worldwide film production and various aspects of strategic planning involving technology, facility planning, animation tool development and overall budgeting for the film production process and creation of intellectual property.

Over his career at DreamWorks, he has been involved in company acquisitions, the creation and negotiation of strategic partnerships,overall project management for construction and a key player in the separation and eventual IPO of DreamWorks Animation.

Most recently, as the Head of Production Operation, he continues to be responsible for all financial planning and strategy related to all film production in additional to both financial and operational responsibilities for the start-up of the television division and the live entertainment businesses.

Prior to DreamWorks, Bruce held a positions in business development at Hanna Barbara Cartoons in Los Angeles, financial analyst position with CBS television in NYC and stock broker/trader with Merrill Lynch in NYC. Bruce has in MBA with a focus in both finance and marketing from New York University.

Nanci Lewis, The Vanderblue Team

Nanci Lewis is a real estate professional at Higgins Group, a Christie's International Affiliate and is part of The Vanderblue Team, which had more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Lewis owns a Connecticut- based retail business, earning more than 20 awards for service and quality. Prior to real estate and opening her own business, Lewis held positions with two prominent Fortune 500 companies in their finance (United Technologies, Sikorsky Aircraft) and corporate planning (Sprague Technologies) departments. She then managed a portfolio of corporate training programs for American Management Association with financial and marketing responsibilities. Nanci resides in Connecticut where she fundraises for several local organizations and cancer charities, including The Hope Funds and The Sarcoma Foundation of America. Lewis studied Economics at Boston College and went to graduate school at Rollins College.

Helmed by Executive Director Annette Tanner, along with Artistic Advisor, Stafford Arima (Allegiance, Altar Boyz), the Broadway Dreams Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to training, mentoring and providing career opportunities to the next generation of musical theater performers. Intensive programs are offered nationally throughout the year, led by an exceptional faculty of high-profile Broadway professionals. BDF offers significant scholarships to hundreds of participants each year, ensuring that all qualified students are able to realize their Broadway dreams regardless of their financial status. This past year, 42% of all BDF students attended programs on full or partial scholarship. Over the past several years, BDF has been successful in placing nearly 90 students into Broadway and Off-Broadway productions and national tours, including If/Then, Beautiful the Carole King Musical, The Book of Mormon, Motown the Musical, Holler if Ya Hear Me, Annie, Violet, Bring It On the Musical, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, Evita, and more.
