The entire nation was staring at their television sets in disbelief on that afternoon of June 17th, 1994; watching a low speed car chase on southern California highways and being told by reporters that the police were after football star/movie star/commercial spokesman O.J. Simpson.

The murder trial that followed wasn't just about the facts of the case; it was about the racial inequality in America's criminal justice system.

Premiering February 2nd on FX Networks', AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE V. OJ SIMPSON will depict the most famous murder trial of the 1990s with an all-star cast, including many stage favorites, portraying the central and tertiary figures in the saga: Cuba Gooding Jr. as OJ Simpson, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, Connie Britton as Faye Resnik, Selma Blair as Kris Jenner, Jordana Brewster as Denise Brown, Nathan Lane as F. Lee Bailey, Steven Pasquale as Mark Fuhrman and Billy Magnussen as Kato Kaelin.

The series was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk with a premiere set for later this year on FX, home of Murphy and Falchuk's AMERICAN HORROR STORY.
