In an exclusive interview with USA Today, Saoirse Ronan and Ben Whishaw discuss making their Broadway debuts in the revival of Arthur Miller's The Crucible. "It's incredibly passionate when they're in THE ROOM together," explains Ronan of the relationship between their two characters. "So I think we needed to be quite open with each other." Arthur Miller's The Crucible is headed back to Broadway with previews beginning on February 29, and an opening slated for April 7, 2016 and a run through July 17, 2016.

Starring will be Ben Whishaw, from the West End's PETER AND ALICE, as John Proctor, A RAISIN IN THE SUN Tony winner Sophie Okonedo as his wife Elizabeth Proctor, ATONEMENT's Saoirse Ronan as Abigail Williams, andGAME OF THRONES and THE SEAFARER's Ciarán Hinds as Deputy-Governor Danforth.

Ronan is best known for her breakout role in 2007's ATONEMENT opposite James McAvoy and Keira Knightley, which earned her Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations. Among her other film credits are THE LOVELY BONES, HANNA, HOW I LIVE NOW and THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL.

The production will have scenic and lighting design by longtime van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld, costume design by Wojciech Dziedzic, and an original score by Philip Glass. Additional casting and design team will be announced at a later date.

This will be the fifth revival of The Crucible on the Great White Way; the most recent production was in 2002 withLiam Neeson and Laura Linney. It is Miller's most produced play, set during the SALEM witch trials in the early 1690s. It won the Tony Award for Best Play.
