Michael Cera stopped by this morning's TODAY to talk about making his Broadway debut in Kenneth Lonergan's This is Our Youth, which focuses on the awkwardness of young adulthood. Check out the appearance below!

THIS IS OUR YOUTH, written by Kenneth Lonergan, produced by Scott Rudin and directed by Anna D. Shapiro opened at Broadway's Cort Theatre on September 11 and stars Michael Cera, Kieran Culkin and Tavi Gevinson.

THIS IS OUR YOUTH was originally produced by The New Group at the Intar Theatre in 1996, featuring Josh Hamilton, Mark Ruffalo and Missy Yager. It went on to play the Douglas FairbanksTheatre in 1998, followed by a popular run in the West End and its Australian Premiere in 2002. The plot follows a group of privileged and foolish young adults in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in 1982.

Cera and Culkin appeared together in a 2012 Australian production of This is Our Youth. Cera is well known for his role on the TV-to-Netflix comedy series Arrested Development. Among his film credits are This Is the End, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Juno, Superbad and more. Culkin also appeared in Scott Pilgrim with Cera; his other film credits include Movie 43, Paper Man, Igby Goes Down, The Cider House Rules, She's All That and more. This will be Gevinson's stage debut; she is a 17-year-old high school student from Oak Park who runs a super-popular online fashion magazine called Rookie.
